  • Summary: A Great Game for Kids
  • Comment: If you're fairly experienced with adventure/puzzle/hidden object games, this may not be the game for you. It's geared towards a younger audience, or a first time players. For a younger person, around the age of 12, I think it would be a lot of fun. It would also probably be fun for parents looking for a game to play with a younger child. Hints are available and the option to skip puzzles also exists, which would also make it suitable for younger players.

I found it a nice, relaxing, game. The animation is good, the story is creative and fun. It's not very challenging though. Even the more difficult puzzles are just a case of taking a bit more time to solve, vs. needing to be able to think the problem through. It requires patience, but not highly developed skill for most of the puzzles. The early ones are very easy. The game does progress in difficulty, but never really rises to a challenging level.

I'm glad I bought it, it made for a good game right before bed, to unwind before going to sleep. If you're an adult looking for something a bit more challenging, be aware this likely isn't the game for you. Also, there is one scene within a chapter that caused my laptop (recent, fast processor) to run very, very slowly. So there is at least one area where a graphics heavy waterfall might clog a machine, and that is also an area that has a puzzle that is time consuming.

  • Summary: Okay game...nothing special.
  • Comment: I thought this game was a little juvenile. Granted, I am not the best at the logic puzzles so that part was nice for me because I could actually solve them without asking my husband for help. But, overall, it felt more like busy work than a game. For the price, it's a nice time drain when you need one or a good introduction to these kind of games.

  • Summary: A delightful game with beautiful graphics!
  • Comment: I am like an old lady burbling away, maybe because I am an old lady. "Treasure Seekers" is not only a treat for the eyes, the artwork being beautiful, it is also an excellent hidden objects game that will appeal to everybody including that bright eyed kid beside you. It is the perfect game to play with your child, but not so easy as to be a pushover. So old and young can play it with mutual contentment and joy.

Nelly, our heroine, a personable young lady with spectacles on her nose, is trying to find her brother Tom who has mysteriously been trapped in a remote castle in Romania. Nelly must work her way through six magical paintings, each a separate story in which she helps a person in distress, such as a genie in the very first painting, trapped in Aladdin's lamp. Of course Nelly has to free the genie so that he becomes human again. She restores many trapped ghosts into real people again as she travels on her quest. She restores a werewolf to her human shape and meets a decidedly aristocratic vampire, a pirate and King Arthur.

As she progresses from inside one painting and its story to the next, Nelly has many tasks to perform, which could be turning the lamp on in a lighthouse or repairing a bridge to finding a magic medallion under the sea. She will gather tools and objects to help her with the various tasks she must perform and often has to go in and out of several areas to find everything required.

In each scene Nelly must find and click on a " key object" that produces five or six little circles containing a black and white picture of each object she must collect in order to use the key object. These objects are well hidden but they are to scale for that particular scene and also appropriate to each particular canvas theme.

The mini-games are not all that easy and make a nice diversion as well as being fun. Nelly has to solve sequence puzzles, tangrams, matching pairs and others. The games can be skipped if you like but they're pleasant and interesting.

You can play in Casual and Advanced mode. In Casual the hint mechanism charges much more quickly and if Nelly is having trouble finding something the game will oblige you by putting up a circle of little bright stars right where you need to click.

"Treasure Seekers" is charming, not earth -shattering but charming, a game that will appeal to virtually all casual gamers, including children. If you don't use too many hints or skip the mini- games, the game should take about five hours. Perhaps you may feel it's a bit short but it is certainly worth $6.99! I loved it!

  • Summary: Great hidden object adventure game, highly recommend
  • Comment: This is one of the best hidden object/adventure/puzzle games that I played. There are six chapters. Within each chapter are several scenes. You first need to figure out how to get the scene started, once you uncover the first puzzle, the chapter begins. Some items require you to find several objects to make them work. Often you are required to go back and forth between scenes to find all the necessary objects. You will sometimes need to combine objects or use objects from your inventory to open a door, etc. The game was not hard, but challenging enough to be interesting. The graphics are clear and beautiful, the puzzles are fun, and the hidden objects are not so hard that they are impossible to find. The hint system will let you choose to skip any tough puzzles if you play on the untimed version. The puzzles were creative and varied. The dialog was fairly snappy. The game took about four hours total and I would have been happy to play about 10 more chapters. It is appropriate for children (no violence or language issues); however, my eight year old was a little freaked out by the werewolves and vampires. This game is about 2/3 hidden object and 1/3 puzzles. If you only like the hidden object component, this may not be the game for you.
